Colors of the Year Block Lotto -- Memories of a Churn Dash

Our second 2018 Block Lotto is our shout out to the 2018 Colors of the Year, Pantone's Ultra Violet and Kona's Tiger Lily.
Block Lotto Rules:
  • Must use any combination of Kona Bright Periwinkle, Tiger Lily & White
  • Must be some version of or distilled from the Churn Dash block (super open to interpretation
  • Must be a 9.5" unfinished block

Buy a kit of the above fabrics for only $8 (including postage) from the guild. You'll receive the following fabrics, which can make around 3-4 blocks:
  • FQ of Kona White
  • Fat eighth of Kona Tiger Lily
  • Fat eighth of Kona Bright Periwinkle

Our first 2018 Block Lotto is a 2.5”, 5” or 10” Fussy Cut Economy Block. Our VP, Karen Brown, has put together a stellar video tutorial, templates and cutting lists. Deadline is the March 25th meeting.

 Bring your completed blocks to the March meeting to enter into the lottery! Each block you enter gets to a chance to win them all! May the odds be ever in your favor.

February  2020 Meeting Recap Hello Toronto Modern Quilters! We know some of you were off at QuiltCon last weekend, but those of us who stayed home got our quilting fix at our fabulous February meeting.  We had a fantastic presentation from Tania Denyer of  Ginger Quilts . She talked about the intersection of art and craft, shared her philosophy on creativity, and left us all asking "What would that look like in fabric?" Plus, we got to see her gorgeous and mouth-watering quilts up close. Inspirational!  Announcements Our Vice President Xandra launched our very first block lotto of 2020! It features "Enchanted" the Kona Colour of the Year, and a block pattern from the  Modern Quilt Guild . Block lotto instructions can be found  here .  Participate in our TMQG logo design challenge!  Submit your designs to  torontomodernquiltguild@gmail.com  by March 29, 2020.
